Juan Luis Úbeda joins Magapor staff
Juan Luis Ubeda, swine veterinarian with almost 20 years of experience, joins Magapor family once again as Head of the Technical Service and R+D+i Department. Juan Luis started his career in the swine industry in 1993 also as Manager of Magapor technical service and turned to exercise his profession as freelance consultant for pork exploitations after four years of fruitful relation with the company. During the 1999 course, he obtained a place as Associate Professor of Swine Management in the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Saragossa, from which he maintained his collaboration with Magapor in several Research Projects. He has been co-director and instructor in the Reproduction and Diagnosis modules of the Sapropor Master from its beginning. He complemented his vocation for the swine industry with the establishment of some pork production companies that are still at work and have supplied him with a practical vision of the sector. We would like to warmly welcome him from this website.

MAGAPLUS
Innovative post-cervical insemination system - The special design of its tip eases the advance of the catheter through the cervix, allows efficient insemination at a uterine level and prevents traumatisms in the sow. - Unlike other post-cervical insemination systems, Magaplus does not need guide catheter. - Reaches the same reproductive performance as other post-cervical mechanisms that use guide catheter. - Reduces time needed for insemination, up to 1/3 less than traditional systems. - It can be used with maiden gilts, saving the use of two different types of catheters or techniques in exploitations. - Prevents reflux during and after insemination. - Less sperm concentration per dose and semen volume is needed. With just 1 billion valid spermatozoa we obtain the same fecundity results than using 3 billion spermatozoa with the traditional method. - Genetic cost per dose is also lower and consequently fewer boars are needed to produce the same dose quality. - Solves occasional problems in the supply of seminal doses. - It is not necessary to warm seminal doses beforehand. - Any type of dose package can be used (semen bag, tube, AI Bottle, syringes, guns…). Presentation: - 5-unit package.
